Nokia has upgraded one of it’s N series, the N80, now called N80ie. There’s no hardware upgrade, only some softwares being added to the mobile phone to make it more web friendly. The Nokia N80ie now features shortcuts to Gizmo VoIP, F-Secure, Yahoo Go etc., a great download client and other useful applications.The Nokia N80ie is an incredible quad band mobile phone, featuring WiFi, a 3 megapixel camera. the unlocked version will be priced at $499.99.

A budget laptop with incredible features has been released by Systemax. The Pursuit 4155 includes even a Intel Core 2 Duo in the price of $999, along with a wide screen display and a webcam. The laptop measures 1.4″ thick, 14.1″ wide and 10.1″ deep, having a 15.4″ LCD display, which is not quite small, being more like a desktop replacement than portable. Also, it weights 7.3 pounds with the AC adapter.It’s display has a 1,280×800 resolution and is wide screen, also being very bright, at 209cd/m2, great for movies and images. Above it you can find a 1.3 megapixel webcam with a microphone, not quite the best ones. Systemax Pursuit 4155’s keyboard is really tricky, not very good for long time use, but better than others in it’s class. It’s mouse buttons and touch pads are good and comfortable, better than the keyboard. Unfortunately, it lacks multimedia keys, so DVD playback control is hardened.

Systemax Pursuit 4155’s speakers are of great quality, even if are not very loud. The laptop is connectible via S-Video, mini Firewire, three USB 2.0 ports, VGA and include headphone and mic outputs for sound playback. Also, it features a Type II PC Card slot, ExpressCard slot, Ethernet, modem, 802.11a/b/g WiFi, a DVD burner and a memory card reader 4-in-1.

The laptop’s battery lifetime is of about 3 hours and it comes with a 1 year warranty, upgradable to 2 years for an additional $170.

A new ultra portable digital camera has been released by Samsung. The i7 has a rotative 3″ LCD display, that can rotate by 180 degrees. Also, the camera features a 3X optical zoom, 1600 ISO support, ASD ( Advanced Shake Reduction, supports MP3s and a 7.2 megapixel sensor.

 

Samsung has released a great digital camera, featuring a wide angle NV optical zoom lens ( 28mm ), the L74. The camera is a great point-and-shoot, with a 3″ touchscreen LCD display, face recognition, a 7.2 megapixel CCD sensor, 3.6X optical zoom, Advanced Shake Reduction, 800×592 video recording with MPEG-4 video encoding and ISO 1600.

 

Asis’s first LED backlit laptop has been announced at CeBIT, in Hanover, Germany. The laptop is called U1F and features a 11.1″ WXGA+ LED backlit display, leather clad palm rests, black motif, steel edges and an ultra low voltage Core Duo CPU. It will come with Vista preinstalled and weight only 2.2 pounds. Price and availability haven’t been disclosed yet.
